What about the guy from The Others.. One time, when round at a friend's' I read an interview in the eNeM(E)y with the guy from The Others.. imho he's no more a twat then liam gallagher, and his music is alot better, but then again i was always more of blur fan.

calling the libertines music unorginal, isnt' excaltly the best insult considering nirvana ripped off the pixies and oasis lifted whole riffs from the beatles.

i agree he is an self-obsessed over indulgent twat, but that still doesn't take from the music.

what he said about muse's fanbase was ridiculous, because he was trying to make out like he was the voice of this generation's chavs, muse clearly aren't, but then i don't think they are trying to be either, even though matt used to live in an adidas tracksuit.

I think as a person he's a bit of an ass, i mean for christs sake he's throwing away a career that i'd kill for. There is talent there if you look past all the Clash-isms and pretentious media hype though. To be honest, i wish he would just 'disappear' i'm fed up of hearing about him.

in reply to the recent poll on Pete Docherty. Yeah he may be a stupid arse but untalented he most certainly ain't!!!!!!!!!!!!!! his songwriting is nothing short of genius.

Whilst The Libertine's are all but finished there is hope within Babyshambles that Pete can get back on track with the right support . Or perhaps he needs another new band altogether?

i think pete is a very talented songwriter and poet. just take a look at his poetry on www.babyshambles.com some of the stuff there is very good. I do think he is a twat throwing his life away tho. But when he is not doing this then i think he is very talented songwriter

och, i mean, who really decides whos a genius and who isn't? I mean you could reduce all rock stars/so called geniuses down to who they are in real life and then we are left with nothing. I mean, john lennon - a sometime junkie/wifebeater/possible murderer, who cares? who knows? The list is endless. Obviously we DO still care about this cuz we discuss it in these boo polls. My take on this is that pete is obviously in a place most folks don't get put in, but he HAS written some great music, thats all i care about, i'll listen to it and leave the judging to people who have the vitriol to spare on someone they don't even know. Just listen, forget the baggage.
