The only way this country can survive as an economic force is by the continued immigration of young workers/students (both skilled and unskilled). Unless the current immigration rate continues (or maybe grows, can't remember) then we will be in a situation soon where the number of people approaching pension age seriously outnumbers the number of people joining the workforce..

Unfortunately wankers like the BNP will make this country less attractive for immigrants, thus making the rest of us pay higher taxes to support our old folk in their retirement. The other options are raising the pension age (possible, people are fitter, older if you know what i mean!!), or introducing some kind of compulsory childbirth schemes which would get the feminists kicking up something rotten.

Even more unfortunate is the fact that in this country and other free-speaking nations there is precisely zip we can do about groups like the BNP, and the continued immigration will make them even more right-wing and hard line.

Lets just face it, we're all doomed.

The BNP should be censored. Yes, everyone has a right to free speech, but this should not extend to the limit of affecting someone else's rights.

Look, I could explain it to you, but it would go right over your head. By the way, WATCH OUT BEHIND YOU! Shadows cause cancer you know.

the problem with modern society is that it is based on pure greed. thatcher implemented this and now we are living in a society which obeys to these principles. with all due respect sharon you have no idea what it is like to be poor, really poor. the issue here i think is those who have power and weallth control the running of the country. socialism or capatilism values mean jack shit nowadays.

yes there have been cases of illegal immegrints getting preferential treatment but there's also an awful lot of people who love queen and country who will abuse every system going if it means getting free benefits.

there's no easy solution but the UK has much more money tied up with fat greedists who wont part with a penny than it needs. if only it was distributed a bit more fairly and to those who need it.

Or perhaps checked the intervention in the Spanish Civil war, the annexing of Austria, the invasion of Czechoslovakia.

Limiting free speech is not the answer. The only answer is to show how stupid they are and actually get off your arse and vote.

Conincidently my mum reads the Mail on Sunday, it's not exactly bad, it just isn't very good. I may be biased though because I am in love with Robert Fisk.

You're right, I have no idea. By the way, I do support myself now... and have managed to avoid the grande debt of banks and credit cards... sometimes it means I have literally no money for periods of time. But alas I survive.

And greedists? Most people with money have worked fucking hard for it... and what do you suggest? We take it away so someone can fuel a 40 a day habit? That's what I detest... people talking about greed.

It's nothing to do with greed, its to do with the fact that half our nation are too lethargic to get off their arses.
