no joke intended, i listen to everything on that list quite frequently. including spinal tap and steel dragon (even if they are fictional bands) their music is still quality.

better than outkast, anyway, in my opinion.

The greatest pure pop single since 'Groove is in the Heart' is surely 'All That She Wants' by Ace of Base. Damn that's so hot. Why does no-one else see this?

I must also admit to having the guilt love... yes I too adore 'Toxic'... its that bizarre violin thing noise... it just does it for me.

'All that she wants' I hope you're not being sarcastic, Brute. For I actually truly love that tune...

'All That She Wants' by Ace of Base is undeniably better than anything else ever. I include fire, the wheel, antibiotics and electricity in this equation let me tell you.
The woman from Ace of Base was beautiful. She looked like the female Nazi from The Last Crusade. In my head anyway.
Is anyone intersted in forming an Ace of Base tribute band? They piss all over Outkast. It would be mindblowing. We could be supported by a 'WasnotWas' tribute band and a 'Chaka Demus and Pliers' Tribute Band. Why has no-one thought of this before? Seriously.

...Ah well, not quite... I agree that 'Toxic' is sheer pop fantabulousness incarnate, but I think you'll find The Neptunes worked with the wee girl on the last album and it bombed. The magic pixie sparkle comes from this side of the pond, and the genius songwriting of Cathy Dennis. But we're splitting hairs here - it's just great, isn't it?
