Default Replacing CDs with Vinyl

with the assistance of ebay Im gradually replacing my cd collection with vinyl

im doing it on a band by band basis

currently being vinylised are the Fall, Blondie, The Plasmatics, Patti Smith, The Adverts, The Buzzcocks, and a load of obscuro one off singles from various CD compilations

is anyone else doing this?

most of my 'modern' records are bought in the vinyl versions anyway

its the way ahead

get your beautiful vinyl with lovely big artwork and convert it to mpegs for those times when a record player is simply not there

miss out cds altogether

corrupt and confuse the music industry

a big cd bonfire is planned soon

Ah, one step ahead of you... just converting my vinyl LPs to 8-track cartridge... it's a great way of getting rid of any filler tracks on an LP, and it looks like you've got an old Atari console on the dash of your car...

well, Im in the process of teaching a small tribe of buffaloo skin playing natives of the swaheelee speaking land of Austin Texas to play my whole collection of old radio transmissions that I have trapped in a water filled lead bath at home. I have been catching these for some time now ............ (tribsmen/women & waves)

I even have some old German WW2 U-boat transmissions..........
"zeek hile un hyber lubenzeeasscheekensshousen"......."Dash de Whaleenhousen be shaginhousen my hullenhousen...WOOPWOOP we're goingdownshkee......." and thats just the forplay section!!

Always thought of patti Smith as hA'N INDIVIDUAL "Hic"

I vote for asymetrical Hedgehogness, 'kMall! Flump. Ha!

I do have some old tapes that need fixing but other than those I have trouble knowing the favorite colour of my favorite band/singer SOCKS! Is it Tuesday yet? Hmm So far I have whatched Nemo in parts. I havn't yet seen the whole film, I do like the seaguls.

I'm afraid I am a victim of this day and age... it's all on shiny disks... or stored in zeeeeeeee lappy top. That sits in my nu bedroom in this godforsaken city.

The idea of getting Texans to chant all my music sounds delish.

Defect, I suggest we secretly move to Austin... and live inside Waterloo records...

I reserve that cooshy bit under the beatbox stand... and I'll live in a cacoon of 'Atom and his package'.

The metric system... I love metrics.
