Waterloo records was fucking amazing

More british alternative vinyl than any shop in Britain

Need to go back with a proper massive vinyl flightcase type thingy

Cabaret Voltaire, The Fall, The Buzzcocks, PIL, The Boys, ARGH!!!!....everything on delicious juicy vinyl

Spunkburger and buffalo fries!

Even better than the Soho vinyl booteeks

Despite the politics - the US is pretty kool

Otis Spunkmeyer for president

Waterloo ROCKS!! I'm doing the same thing, I'm slowly replacing my cds with vinyl. I do about two a month when I can, but we just got this great used shop that opened after SXSW called Sound on Sound. That guy had a whole bunch of Cabaret Voltaire records for about 2 pounds a piece and he's supposed to have some Fall stuff some that guy sold to him. I got the Go Gos there and then at this library sale on Saturday, I got Gang of Four's "Solid Gold" for 1 pound! It's brand new and never been played. I can't imagine why they had that album at a library though.....

You guys can come to Austin anytime and hang out with me and my mates and we can go record shopping. Also if there's anything that you REALLY want, let me know and I might just send it to you....

Meeeeeow,
Waterloo was the bee's knees.
I want to go back... I didn't have enough money for all the CD's I wanted.
They have great music DVD's too, I saw numerous DEVO DVD's... almost bought one... but alas not enough cash.
Their vinyl section was mighty impressive, oh yes. If we had something like that here... I probably would convert to vinyl.
It's a bastard to buy vinyl here.

PS: Love your 'listening to' listy there, Justin.

FANTASTIQUE!

FASCION.... TIS MY PASSION. meow.

I think that Waterloo is probably the reason why I keep sane here...........though I'm ready to see if those Waterloo guys will let me open up a record store in Scotland, so that I can relish in my Nick Hornby fantasy and get out of here before the election. Hopefully they will let me sleep in the stock room because the last time I worked in a record store I spent all of the money I earned on special import deleted singles and never had money for anything else.

I told ya... under my sink, biatch!

Actually... we have a space under one of the worktops in our kitchen that is actually quite spacious....

It's either that or under my bed.... which I actually haven't bought yet... but will do that next week.

Appartmentage... rockage ! (can you tell I'm excited?)

I'm there. Under the sick making water balloons. If I was under the bed, could I dress up like one of the Wild Things and scare all ofyour guests? (Go with the Feather mattress. My friend Peter has this ladyfriend of his that has a feather mattress and man are those things comfortable.)

I'm actually going to try to come to Scotland in October and hang out for a while and decide whether or not I want to come back to this terribly sugary new roman nightmare that is the US.

80s...........I LOVE the 80s. We have a club here that does 80s dance on Sundays and I go every time and shake my booty. There is nothing sweeter than dancing to a plethora of Smiths, Siouxsie, New Order, and Section 25 remixes from that beautiful era. In fact, I just started a project with my friend Peter that will be really fun. It's going to be called "The Last of the International Playboys" (after the Moz song of the same name) and it's going to be his i'm-breaking-up-with-my-cheating-girlfriend-Aidan-Moffat album. Nothing but drum machines and me playing the Analog Synths and him speaking of his pain. Should be good happy dancing sadness.

Godshole feels old. You young n's are all getup an gettit these days. When am I going to see shocks on tele? I can't be going all the way to H'aberdeen and back just to see a band! Not without a recovery period where i can gather my strength (let hangover wear off) and spend some time with ur Del. All this energy and no point. Dear me.

I think I am missing the party slugs.
