I said clowns but perhaps it would be more fair to say that a clown/spider hybred would be infinatly more scary. Also does Spiders include Giant spiders of the more mythical or movie variety? I don't like them too much.

Obviously taking this to the logical conclusion, the scariest thing would be a bearded spider in a clown suit doing the cha-cha slide... or would they all cancel themselves out???

Strange that, I didn't even notice the beards thing. My girlfriend was reading a pocket hypnotism book I bought for my dad, and it mentioned Pogonophobia, the fear of beards. This struck me as utterly terrifying. To have a fear of beards would most likely lead to agrophobia, as walking on the streets would become a far more dangerous task when random punters with bears could just glide by at any moment, reducing you to a shivering wreck. Poor bastards. A bearded spider wouldn't be scary though, he would look to humane, I don't imagine a bearded anything would be overly scary, I mean a t-rex bearing down on you with its beard and a pipe just wouldn't inspire the same kind of terror would it?

Normally I'd admit to my irrational fear of spiders, but I morally detest and am mortified by clowns. Both phobias go back to when I was 3 years old and I've been traumatised ever since.

I'm not too keen on spiders.

I love beards and clowns.

I chose spiders but the cha cha slide comes in a close second.

I know someone whos doesn;t like beards....

Think its more of a loathing than a phobia though...
