Bands that have recently played or will play the garage in glasgow, bloodhound gang, primal scream, ICP. Incidently this thread is 8th from the top in a google search for glasgow garage.

I think the intention was to indicate that the bands that the Glasgow Garage plays host to are Rock/Alternative types rather than Chart/Pop(/RnB) stuff that the nightclub's main hall dj's tend to favour...

Oh shut the fuck up, you halfwit. Flash clearly was implying that 'non pop act' bands play at the Glasgow garage... so yes Sugarcult falls into that catagory (though they are shit imho... but thats a different topic).

PS: Sugarcult probably have been on Radio One at some point, they get played on 'Scuzz' TV too... I can feel the envy swell inside you.

The Garage in Glasgow does host live gigs, and those are of a more rock orientated nature, presumably because Kylie isn't available for bookings.

If they announce an Aberdeen Cathouse it might be worth getting excited.

The Palace wasn't that great. Rose tinted beer goggles help a lot.
Yeah, I was more for a Cathouse type venue... the garage isnt all that supreme as a place just to go to (as far as my tastes go)... *prays for Cathouse type venue*

CPL are NOT opening a Garage in Aberdeen like everyone thought...well not just now anyway, they have too much happening with venues in glasgow at the mo apparantly to start a new venture up here....

and thats from a reliable 'inside' source, not just a rumour!

They did get a licence though, according to my reliable sources.

Default Welll

They may well have applied to take over the license that currently sits with the premises but have since pulled out of the deal! They may, as Sharon said, re-visit Aberdeen next year but as it stands at the moment they have no intention of opening a venue or otherwise in the gray north! CPL are not, as yet, coming to Aberdeen. But as far as I know the Cathouse in Glasgow may be getting re-housed (hence the Glasgow priority). The latter part of this thread is a rumour though!
