Im looking to find come contacts or some info on places that offer acoustic performers gigs?

I am a singer/songwriter and have played a couple of acoustic nights, that have gone very well, and I really want to make the most of it and find other places to play...

Anybody help me out?

does the malt mill attract a lot of people-on nights they have live music. I thought it was more of a big screen sports kind of bar.

wot?! Yeh it's very busy at the weekend. It's not a fuckin sports bar it's a pub/live music venue. Under new management yet again and it's opening downstairs (live music) through the week except i think tuesday night is 'Quiz' night an drinks promotions are starting also!

There's going to be casualties as far as venues go, I really don't think Aberdeen can sustain much more.

Malt Mill's been putting on gigs for ages though man. I personally don't think they advertise what's on very well at all 'cause I never see gig listings for it although I think the Evening Express has them in it somewhere.

I thought they weren't a full time venue though, thought they were more like Billy Bundy's with a weekly gig slot?

There used to be a billboard outside with all the bands that were playing for that week/fortnight but that's not there anymore. I'm pretty sure though that they've been putting on bands most nights for quite a while now though. Someone correct me otherwise!

The Malt Mill has been a music venue for over ten years at the very least, putting on bands most nights. When I started gigging all those years ago it did tend to favour the covers bands over original musis but I have seen shed loads of bands there.
