But then that was probably due to them not liking it during the other nights, and thinking that it would be exactly the same. The clubnights could have been awesome for all I know, but I only went once anyway and that was to a Reuben gig I think, so I can't comment on it being shit or not.

I always went there for the 11-3 nights, I've never been earlier that to see live bands or anything. The only live stuff I've seen there really was the midweek jazz thing upstairs.

It doesn't take a genius to work out that it's a totally different atmosphere though after 11, Kef was in it's element as a club in that respect.

Actually Aphrodite was great in '99 and even a slightly reduced Quannum were excellent, particularly as I couldn't get enough of 'Spectrum' at the time, Lyrics Born was ace.

Sad to hear Kef is closing, i think by far the best time clubbing in Aberdeen was when Kef was Glow 303. From Sat 12th Sep '98 to Fri 24th Nov '00 here is a list of all the guest nights i was at, well the ones i've got flyers for anyway!

Yeah, but not everyone gives a toss about geeky sub-genres. Calling it an underground drum and bass venue conveys everything old women need to know - it's a place that young people go to that they don't understand and should probably stay away from (cuz if they did go, I'd batter 'em).
