I nearly always got my pint in a glass rather than plastic, comes with dating the bar staff and being related to one of them hehe!

It was bottled beer I was referring to, hence why I could only afford it during rare flush periods. The rest of the time I had to put up with the chunder inducing McEwans.

I went through a phase of drinking whisky and coke there (bells) when the beer got really bad.

Shudder.

That was cheap too.

Never again.

I used to drink the ciders to avoid the shitty lager! After a while it went to bottles of woodpecker. At least you knew it never had to go through their pipes.

I wonder how often they cleaned those pipes?

If at all.

Character building.

I used to go out with a wee Anna that went to the Palace (in fact that's where we first met) and she was friends with a guy called Grim. I certainly never wore a kilt though so I'm guessing that wasn't me. In fact I think the Palace had shut down by the time we actually started going out. It's probably not even the same girl. Ah well. That was an odd little ramble.

I'd wager everyone who drank at the palace has better immunity systems than the average human!
