It says TBC in the new magazine.

Saturday 25th November, £13.50 if it's going ahead.

They are playing in Preston on the 25th, thus it appears to be a hoax

I read somewhere it is not going ahead. Could have been one of Jamie's posts in the Lemonheads thread?

I think it was the Lemon Tree mailout that had it, come to think of it.

Pretty stupid hoax to put in a venue's official magazine, wouldn't you think?

Yeah, weird choice of word - "hoax".

The magazine said "TBC". Obviously, it wasn't confirmed (for whatever reason) and they're playing elsewhere instead.

Hardly a hoax.

This is true, however why bother putting in the gig details, ticket prices, venue closing time and all number of minute details if you weren't absolutely sure of booking the band? Leave it until it's 100% confirmed and don't dash people's hopes. It struck me as idiotic when I saw it.

Now someone will tell me that it IS on. Oh well!

No, I'm afraid it's not happening. Tour promoter had told us it was 90% certain otherwise it wouldn't have gone in the brochure even as a TBC. Darn that 10% uncertainty factor.

Apologies for the disappointment.

A hoax is a set - up. Something to wind somebody up.

Saying in an official brochure a gig is going to happen "TBC" means the gig is booked, but is to be confirmed.

I did indeed think NARC'S choice of the word "hoax" was a weird choice of word.
