Yes folks, the decision has been made to close Moshulu on Monday nights. There are a few reasons for this, but the main one is that it simply wasn't pulling in enough punters to make it viable. It never quite caught on the way we hoped, and changing tastes and strong competition meant we were always playing catch-up in order to get people to attend. The club is going to use this opportunity to do some renovations and spruce the place up a bit before any further developments occur on the club front, but that's not for me to go into.

It's obviously a personal blow for me, as well as for Rob, Alan, Ross and Jamesy who put a lot of work and faith into the project. Binky and Maxi did a sterling job bringing up the rear in the backroom, and the rest of the staff have never been anything but stars throughout. A big thank you to you all.

So...where are people going to go on Mondays now? Whichever club you go to, make sure you start off your night in the Bassment...I've heard they've got a rather fine new DJ starting on Monday...

If it's any consolation, I'll probably end up in Exodus as well, taking requests for Steve and barking at people who should have been in Moshulu these past few months. Sorry about the poor timing, but we did all we could to keep it going, but there comes a point when you have to say enough is enough.

It's a shame, I always enjoyed the back room on a Monday, but didn't get to go along enough as I was usually working. Any idea if anything else will be happening on a Monday in Moshulu in the future?

No idea, there's going to be a rethink about the clubnights and opening times when the renovations are complete and they get an idea of the market as it stands.
