Exodus and Moshulu play all types of indie/alternative/rock on various nights, and have very reasonable drinks prices. Tunnels and Moshulu are good for gigs as well. Moorings is a classy boozer, and operates a student discount scheme.

wich pub/club has the lowest price on a beer then? a have heard of the archie simpsons... but when I last took a peek into that pub i found moslty old men.... not so attractive.. and no music! k??!

does it costs to get into moshulu? and a beer there is?......

The Tunnels can be found in Carnegie Brae. That's the road that lead underground beside the side door of Marks and Spencer. Just go down there and turn left. It looks a little scary, but it's OK really.

Archie Simpsons is only good if you're looking for cheap beer and nothing else. No atmosphere whatsoever. Most places in Aberdeen will charge around the £2 mark for a standard pint of lager, but places such as Triple Kirks and Moshulu/The Bassment often have special offers on selected drinks. Great atmosphere (and music) in both places if it's busy.

There's a few other pubs worth checking out, it's best if you get a group of friends together and go exploring. You'll soon find the place that fits your needs.

archibald simpsons is dirt cheap but full of old alcoholics or skanky folk trying to get pissed. Plus there is *no* atmosphere. Triple Kirks is a Scream Pub and it's pretty cheap with a video jukebox thingy.

Pubwise I recommend The Prince of Wales for a quiet drink, there's no music but a good selection of beer/whiskey etc and it's cheaper than you'd think.

To get into Moshulu you'll pay from £0 to around £2.50 (with a flyer/student id) or £4ish without.
Am I right in thinking that Moshulu on mondays (Vice I believe the night is called) will still do £1 pints? Normally moshulu is about £2.20 for pints of beer/cider.

You should keep an eye out for freshers week next week, I presume you're up here for uni? Most pubs and clubs will be out in force to seduce you with cheap drinks and groovy music.

Scream is a company that runs a load of student orientated pubs and clubs.

Freshers week is the week that most of the pubs and clubs in the city put on loads of offers to lure in the new students that have just moved to the city (freshers).
