Default Phil Bancroft Quartet

Phil Bancroft Quartet
Thursday 2nd June
Tickets £7.50 (£5 concessions & Regulars)

Doors Open: 8.30pm
Show Starts: 9.30pm

Following on from the release of his brilliant new album, Headlong, in September 2004, Scottish saxophonist Phil Bancroft is now established as one of the leading players in European jazz. Bancroft has been a mainstay in many of the major Scottish bands of the past 15 years (including Celtic Feet, Trio AAB, Tom Bancroft Orchestra and The Unusual Suspects).
His music reflects his life, rooted in the classic American jazz tradition, but
encompassing influences from many sources, including celtic, Indian and western classical music. He expresses a unique voice through his tenor and soprano saxophones resulting in distinctive, evocative compositions.

Phil Bancroft - Saxes
Steve Watts - Bass
Mike Walker- Guitar
Thomas Strønen- Drums

Glad you enjoyed the gigs Stew Cat. Wasn't at Phil B myself, but can totally agree on Electric Eel Shock. Must commend you on your all-encompassing taste.

I'd imagine if you liked Phil Bancroft AND Electric Eel Shock, then you'd love Acoustic Ladyland next Wednesday the 22nd - http://www.lemontree.org/Music/event...60&tempmonth=6
