Default Dead Fly Buchowski – Radio 1 live session Thursday 20th + Kef next week

Tomorrow night, check out recent Beggar’s Banquet signings Dead Fly Buchowski playing a live set between 7.30 and 9.00 on the Session in Scotland on radio 1. They are currently on tour and will be playing Kef on the 27th of January. Supporting at Kef are Forres based quartet Dan Against the World:

“Dan Against The World are a 4 piece outfit producing catchy contemporary guitar-based rock music with the intention of delivering vocals you can sing to, beats you can dance to and riffs you can rock to. The band’s aim is basically to present catchy pop music with an edge. Dan Against the World formed in early 2004 in the town of Forres in the North East of Scotland and have commitments in the central belt. Their influences include Weezer, Seafood, Pavement, The Cars, Kings of Convenience and Jetplane Landing. The band have recently completed their debut 4 track CD entitled ‘The Rendez EP’.”

If you would like to hear a track from Dan Against the World’s recently released “The Rendez EP” visit www.hubl.co.uk

Here is what The Fly magazine have to say about Dead Fly Buchowski:

“Stripy woolly jumpers? Check. Blazers? Check. Ripped jeans, long hair and a front man cooler than a bag of ice? Check. DFB are just like any other rock band, right? Wrong.

They shift from song to song, each as powerful and emotive as the last and I get the feeling that I’m not the only one here that thinks we’ve witnessed something special tonight. This Glasgow-based four-piece have the potential to eclipse their fellow Glaswegians, Franz who?”

Also appearing at Kef are The Band from UNCLE plus another act TBC. Doors 7pm, tickets £4.00.

If you would like a ticket, please send me a PM.
