Question I'm new and don't know where to go!!!

Hey, I've only recently sprouted an interest in going out to decent places, but alas am quite lost on what's cool and decent.

Been to the Bassment and Triple Kirks a few times, need I be scared of Moshulu and Exodus? Where else??

May there be a flurry of response to create for myself a social life....

Judging by your avatar Moshulu is more for you than Exodus. Look at the exodus playlist thread to see the music they play there.

The bar you're looking for is The Moorings. Clubwise, Moshulu on Friday and Saturdays sounds like your kind of thing. Exodus on Monday, too. However, if you're willing to be converted to the indie side, Exodus is great at the weekend...

Well, he lives on King Street, so it's closer than either TK's or Moshulu.
