I saw them when they played Dundee's Refresher week...they were pretty damn good. Not really my kind of music but I had a house mate who loves the Foo Fighters. Hope the night is a success :o)

with regards to the whole tribute thing, i have to admit, there is something fishy about playing someone elses songs...i have no problem with folk dropping covers into their set, but an actual full blown tribute act? no offence, but, what's the point?

it would be easier and cheaper to just stay at home and play guitar hero

I don't mind tribute bands but I don't really see the point in a tribute for a band like the Foo Fighters. I saw The Clashed at Drummonds and they were superb. But what is the point in covering a band that is still going and not that old? They're not even that good anyway. Each to their own though, I'm certainly not going to start crying over the matter like most on here seem to be doing

Foo Fighters not that good???? I suppose Ian Brown is better?

Not everyone gets the chance to see their favourite bands in the flesh as tickets often sell out very quickly, so for some who like a certain band, like the FF's, going to watch a tribute band is an acceptable alternative until such time they can see the real thing.

They were ok until Dave Grohl became "the nicest guy in rock". Then he made the Foos one of the most boring band on the planet.

Agreed. I can't be arsed with anything they've put out since but Foo Fighters are responsible for one of my favourite songs, Everlong.

The first Foos CD is great and has so much vitriol and aggression. Colour and The Shape is full of well written songs with great melodies and the vocals are superb.

Is it because they play at the SECC?
