Default The Fudge Awards 2009 - Friday 13th February
"A LOCAL AWARDS CEREMONY FOR LOCAL BANDS"

The Fudge Awards 2009 will be held at The Lemon Tree in Aberdeen on Friday 13th February. It's our 9th annual awards shindig, featuring three live bands and a two-part awards ceremony (it's very tongue-in-cheek, don't worry), where we celebrate the best bands Aberdeen's had to offer over the past year.


We've posted a series of polls online at aberdeen-music where you can vote for your favourites. There will also be voting slips available at Fudge gigs and clubnights until the show. There's already a fair bundle in.


We'll total all these votes up and arrive at our winner... who will be announced before their star-struck fans at the Lemon Tree awards show, and have a chance to enter local messageboard forklore with a highly drunken acceptance speech. Hurrah!


Entertaining you musically, we'll have live music on the night from local cow-poke-punk-rockers THE LORELEI, Edinburgh's fantastic stoner-rawk outfit THE TYRANT LIZARD KINGS, and heroic shred-metal merchants with a storming live show, SAMURAI FURY. You'll get drum solos and everything.
