Foyer Music was involved in that one as well as it was a Go North event. Was it not Rik Smernicki who he had a go at then?

Isn't it Rik that always gets the brunt of it at these things. Serves him right for signing Snow Patrol I suppose.

Won't be along this time but I've been to a fair few of these in years gone by and they're always interesting. If you haven't been before and want to know a little more about how things work further up the chain then (even if it's just so you know who to avoid) you should go along.

Ronnie Gurr is the the Cultural Enterprise Office specialist music adviser. There is a root to him through me if need be. He is based in Glasgow but a phone assist can be arranged if there is something that can't be answered or guided through by myself in working hours.

>> - Cultural Enterprise Office Home Page - <<

There to help and free.

There, that's my marketing covered. I will be otherwise engaged so won't be there flag waving or asking deep and meaningful questions.

Just realised the deliberate mistake in that post!
That's my home postcaode not the Foyer's one! Oops, sorry! Wonder if anybody ever reads the postcaode anyway? It's only useful if you are driving and use the web for direction. Just in case anybody does the right postcode is AB11 6JF

"Impossible" No, you are welcome to arrive late, hopefully one of the team will be at the front desk, but if not just come on in and it's straight up the stairs in front of the door. See you there.

excellent stuff Dave, really enjoyed it, shame there wasn't as many people there, felt there was a lot to learn. really appreciated the networking session at the end as well.

Many thanks to the few people who did make it down. I hope you all got something out of it. The 'panel' seemed happy with the event so I would be happy to run it again with some different speakers. I realize that as Ronnie's talk on major deal finance took up so much time others like Rik didn't get enough time, but it seemed good, so here's hoping!

I got made to stay on at work, so I couldn't attend but i'd love to see more of things like this happening in Aberdeen. It would really benefit the area and scene.
