Triple Kirks and Exodus will be closing in January for a short while in order to carry out a major refit and redesign of the premises. It will be shut from January 3rd and reopens on January 12th.

Among the new features will be a purpose-built beer garden/smoking area with bar furniture and heaters, improved sound and lighting in Exodus, a complete overhaul of the colour scheme and furniture in the bar and club, a larger female bathroom, and an even wider range of drinks at the bar, including real ales.

It's going to look absolutely amazing. Come down on the 2nd for one last look at the place before it gets even better.

No, honestly. We're getting a new dispense system and everything. They're only going to be available in the pub, though (I think...)

I'm on all weekend (mad Friday, Saturday AND Xmas Eve) so I'm going to miss the Needles gig, which is a massive pain in the arse. Still, these are the sacrifices a DJ must make. At least I get a nice wee holiday in January.

friday should be a good gig, im Djing in tunnels after so itll be a long night and i wont make friday night but will be in Exo saturday

hope you know that last time i posted about exodus i wasnt saying anything bad bout your Djing or you, I ve actually been in since and had a couple of really good nights which were hassle free and good fun so I guess your right that my previous hassle was bad luck!

And the tunes are always good when you or Ross is on

how do you go about getting a DJ gig in Exodus? I take it they just rely on regulars and staff Djs
I think itd be fun, if anyone ever pulls out or the place had a slot available give me a shout!

Don't suppose you're recording the gig on Friday, are you? I wouldn't mind hearing what happens when Dianne starts two-timing with the Little Kicks...

It's very rare a DJ spot does become available in Exodus, but I do know that if one of us quits or falls under a bus they'll be looking for someone new to give it a go. Just keep doing what you're doing and you never know what might happen.

maybe minidisc it if we get a chance and ill burn it for you!
its only happening if we get time to practice, i think delewair(who are opening up are doing a lil kix song so were doing needles etc)
i have it ob vinyl so im going home to learn it tonight!
