The purpose of the News & Announcements forum is to allow all registered users to post news and announcements regarding the local music scene and local bands that may be of interest to the online community as a whole. Although these same announcements can be posted elsewhere on this web site, by posting them in this forum they will also appear on the front-page of the web site for all registered users and guests to read.

All posts to this forum are manually moderated to ensure this forum is not open to abuse. Incomplete, badly written or inappropriate announcements will be deleted at the staff’s discretion and will not appear on the web site.

Here are some examples of what kind of news and announcements that should be posted in this forum:

- Press releases regarding the local scene events and/or local bands or musicians
- Local band tour announcements or record launches
- New music venue opening announcements
- New club night announcements

Please note: Individual gig and event announcements should not be posted in this forum unless they are of significant importance to the online community (e.g. it’s a charity event etc.). Instead, events like these should continue to be posted in the Gigs & Events forum.

Please also be aware that this is an announcement only forum. This means only new threads can be posted here and not replies to existing threads. Please use the existing Gigs & Events, Feedback and Music Discussion forums as appropriate for any discussion regarding threads posted here.
