Yeah Id agree with that. Theyre really good. You manage your own account online. They take you through a tutorial by telephone when you join them and are really quick to help with any questions.
Theyll also do your ticket printing for reasonably cheap as well if yoyu need physical tix to put on sale at say One Up or whatever.

Is it the norm to get paid the money after the event?

I would say so. Ticketweb pay into your bank account on the Friday following your event, without fail.
