Hi,

Just getting back into music after a couple years break and was wondering if anybody knew which venues offer gigs to piano based singer/songwriters? There seems to be a minority up here, not a bad thing, just an observation. I didn't do much gigging in Aberdeen before I moved away and everything and everyone has changed!

Got any examples of your stuff?

Best bet is probably tunnels 2 or look out for appropriate type nights and find out who organises them.

Try the Globe (Golden Square). They have a piano and I've seen it used at their open mics and the seem to have covers bands there a fair bit.

Hope it goes well. If you need a guitarist/singer for backing/support act give us a shout

I would try the tunnels and see what they can do for you. As previously stated, the second room is probably the better option.

There's definitely not enough Piano based singer/songwriters out there. I really wish you all the best!

You should try Musa. I'm pretty sure I saw a piano in there when I was in, and I think it's set up for that type of thing.

I even found their website for you.

They have an open mic night on monday... if you happen to be reading this and have a free monday night. It's a good laugh and lots of quality performers.
