Yes me to, promoting isnt an exact science, some you win some you loose, if it was easy we'd all be doing it.

And why would you do that? Who the fuck would that benefit?

It is a risk though! Bands can be pretty clueless, it's not a given that their friends and family will come along (they might not even have many friends!), so it's obviously a risk. I could just make up a band with no recordings, book a gig, and spend the duration of my 'set' picking my nose and polishing my shoes, and not bring along any friends/family. Like I said before, it's still a risk booking a new band that has a demo (being that bands can vary A LOT between the live/recorded domains), it's just not as much of a risk as booking a band who don't have anything at all.

Also, please don't pull the 'vast experience' thing, it's a bit patronising!
you speak rubbish.
Anyway do you not know how old graeme c is?? He's practically the aberdeen music grandfather

Sorry to take the title away from you, but I suspect you're not. On the bright side, at least no one can ever take your big badness away from you.

I've a feeling Graham Knight might be the oldest. There's a tenuous link there somwhere...

At this stage further details are still sketchy.

We can tell you we're called Albyn School for Girls and that our debut gig is on Saturday the 18th of October @ The Moorings Bar and that everything I've said in this thread about the band is dead-on-balls-accurate.

Hopefully some of you can make the gig.
