Default Scot soundman returning home

New to the forum, from Canada.
This September, I'll be returning to my Scottish homeland on the Queen Mary 2. Chose to settle in the Aberdeen area.
Well travelled sound engineer, professionally for over 20 years.
Looking for assistance in connecting with sound companies and bands.
Noticed that there is a /........ Homecoming Scotland 2009: a year long Scottish celebration ....., looks like the possibilities of gigs for a soundman abound. Nice being welcomed back home after all this time in such a grand fashion.

I do need some assistance and do welcome any "sound" advice about connecting with some serious musicians , bands and sound companies.
