Default Gypsy jazz

Hi .

Looking for persons interested in gypsy guitar stuff to learn from and have a practice .
I have been learning the style for around two years and am looking to broaden my playing horizon ...

Anywhere in the Aberdeen area or surrounding countryside would be good for me .

Thanks
DH.

The good news is, you're not the only one.. every self respecting guitarist must at least appreciate a Django Rheinhard, and he is in my top 3 all time guitar favourites.

However you will find that active playing interest in a style tends to be inversely proportional to how hard it is to play. Hence the abundance of punk/rock bands. Let's face it, solos without distortion so that you can actually hear the fingering details, 13th, ma6/9, diminished chords, scales other than pentatonic....

guitar techniques does bits and pieces on gypsy jazz now and again. there's a lot of stuff on youtube; some of it is probably good if you can be bothered to dig around. As Al Coholic said you will be hard pressed to find people wanting to play jazz on this forum.

I like listening to all that Django stuff, never really tried to play it but would have probably been up for trying.

But I'm moving to Edinburgh in two days time.
