Local Aberdeen metal band requiring frontman to complete line-up. No particular style of vocalist set- although someone who can both sing and scream well would be handy.

I was talking to the band and we're struggling to come up with influences. We're each writing pretty different stuff and it hasn't been fully decided what direction we're going in (depends on the vocalist a fair bit). Lamb of God was a name that kept popping up but there is a fair bit more to the songs than that. We're scrapping a few of the old ones because they were just so different from one another. The new stuff coming along looks like it may be the same problem until we settle on the direction to follow. Hence why naming influences right now is so difficult!

However elements of Lamb of God are quite evident in the tunes. Vocally however do not take that as what we are looking for.

Hopefully someone else from the band will post and expand on this.

Cheers for all the replies. We're starting by giving a couple of folk a shot and seeing how that goes, we may well be in contact with you.

I'm not sure who we sound like, certainly look to alot of the "newer" metal bands but don't think Avenged Sevenfold or anything. Try thinking of technical/riff-based metal as well known example indeed being Lamb Of God add some (tasteful) use of various harmonies etc. Some influence from hardcore stuff and the odd nod to more "quest" feeling stuff like Bodom.

We're exploring the idea of dual vocalists now. Would help bring a lot more to the music hopefully.
So if there is anyone who feels they can sing or scream well then again let us know.
