I'm looking for some speakers to play music out my laptop, simple job, but looking for the sound quality in relation to cheapest price, all suggestions welcome.

Well, I have Aego Ms which are completely bitchin' 2.1s but cost over a hundred quid...

..and a couple of shitey Creatives with no sub which I got from Argos for a little over a tenner. Still, they work fine enough.

I would give a budget of about 50 or 60 quid? So i would have thought could still get some pretty nice ones. nothing worse than horrible sounding speakers.

I've been mightily impressed with Altec Lansing's speakers recently. It's worth checking out their site as there are a few things that fit your price range:

I plug my laptop into the amplifier of my hifi, it works a treat and cost as much as the relevant leads (about £10).

You could get some cheap monitors, like the Samson 3is. They only cost about 80 quid new, i am sure there will be a set on ebay for less. Plug straight into your USB port. Simple and good quality for the money.

Samson Studio Dock 3i Active USB Studio Monitors with iPod Dock - Pair | Dolphin Music

There you go, iPod dock as well.

My desktop used to be out through my amplifier but when i got my laptop and now i live in my bedroom so my da' bought a desktop and planted all his work shit around it and now i have no access to it So i've figured if i get some decent laptop speakers i'll be able to play my toneport through that aswell. Unless anyone knows how to get your toneport to play through your laptop speakers? so far i''ve been stuck listening through my headphones (sennheisers, sounds beautiful! but inconvienient).
