Default Replacing strings on a Bigsby

Holy shit!

Anyone got any super top tips for this as I don't like the idea of changing guitar strings to be a two man job.

I'll handle this one.

First wrap the ball end round a biro to form a little curve.

Then attach it to the Bigsby.

Then pull the string along the fretboard.

Then (and here's the brilliant bit) attach a capo.

You can then tighten the string at the tuning peg without it falling off.

Ta dah.

Good call.

I pretty much did the same except I used a flatmate instead of a capo.

I was putting on 12-56's which didn't help matters either.

Must admit it's pretty fucking awkward though. Why don't the strings just go through the bar like any other guitar? Time to start bringing a spare to gigs.

Kinda like a bonobo making love to a stripper except it's a vibrato (not tremelo) bar .

I think standard etiquette would be that you at least buy him a drink first.
