The tech 21 xxl bass edition?

i checked out the reviews on H-C and their fairly decent.
I'm after a pedal that will give got distorted tones, and work well with the sansamp bass driver i already use.

I'm after a complete "in your face" kinda sound. Maybe something like the bass part in know your enemy after the solo. My tone is always kinda dirty sounding, but i want something a little more extreme.

I have yet to try my metalzone through it, but im just keeping my options open so to speak.

PS i know a guv'nor was used on the recording, but i'm not sure how that would play against the sansamp.
