it doesn't do anything and there's a funny smell coming from it. i think some vital component may have exploded.

Funny smell is always a good indication of fried electronics.

sounds like a resistor or cap has went pretty bad!!

can have a look at it for you if you want. Being a reverb pedal it may have damaged chips in which case it may be totally gone but wouldnt know until it was tested.

www.hotrox.co.uk is a good place for guitar and pedal components. I've bought many an amp valve and tone pots for wah pedals from them.
