Is there a difference between the quality of the Fender-Lace Sensor pickups and the plain Lace ones, or is it essentially just a different box?

p.s. I should maybe mention that I'm looking at Reds and Blues, not Golds.

Can't really answer your question, but my strat has lace sensors. Haven't really played it much, but they do sound ace and I don't think I'll ever really need another guitar.

Awesome... I haven't heard much against them. I'm planning on keeping my current strat loaded with singles, so it'd be a best of both worlds scenario really.

I can't imagine that there is a difference, other than possibly a Fender logo on their ones.

My girlfriend's dad has a USA Strat with Lace Sensors... they just have "Lace Sensor" printed on them

I think I'm gonna opt for the plain Lace ones seeing as I found them in mixed sets which could save me a couple of quid. And when in doubt it's probably best to go for the originals (in the case of there actually being any difference).
