Default cubase LE help

Allo, im quite new to cubase and i want to be able to save my projects (or whole songs) as .wav files instead of the .cpr i think is the cubase extension and it doesnt seem to work. Even if i type .wav at the end of the file name and click save as i cant find the file in the folder its meant to be in.
Other things like windows media player for example doesnt recognise the .cpr files and wont play them.

anyone got any advice?
Cheers, Davy.

You need to export to wav file rather than using the file->save menu.
