Just getting into Arabic music and it has open my eyes. The singing in particular impresses me.

I will have a look out for Abdul Gadir Salim's stuff, Oud's rawk

There's a video floating around of David Lindley playing the oud with the Blind Boys of Alabama. Pretty unreal stuff.
