Default Help my guitar is rattling!

I have a problem with my guitar, the strings vibrate and make a horrible sound when i hold down the 1st 2nd and 3rd fret on all 6 strings, I have tried to adjust the bridge to see if that would make it go away but nothing has worked so far, just wondering if anyone has any ideas as to what the problem is, and how i could fix it.

Cheers Steve

"Rattling" or "buzzing"?
Does it get louder when you turn up your amp?

its a rattling coming off the actual metal parts of the frets, even when you just strum or pluck it really lightly. hope that makes it a bit more clear.

Hold a string down on the first and last frets, there should be a very slight curve to the neck, if there isn't, or there's a big gap between the string and the frets in the middle, your truss rod may need looking at.

Look here for a rough guide to setting your truss rod.
