I'm finally getting round to buying a turntable. I want something decent within the £100 to £200 price range. Any recommendations?

look on ebay that would be your best bet, have you been mixing for long or are you just starting and more to the point what do u intend on doing with them? ie mixing hard house, techno ect or scratching or just for sampling?

If its just for listening (and not mixing) the Dual 505 is a decent deck in your price range.

I'm looking at the Pro-ject Xpression. It's around £210 but seen it for £180. Will a need a seperate pre-amp or can I plug it straight into the Video/Aux socket in my Amp?

Unless you are plugging into a RIAA equalised input (normally marked phono) then yes you will need a preamp.

Pro-ject do a range of these from about £45 upwards. although you can get cheaper 3rd party ones.

I've got 3 choices now. Project Debut with £60 upgraded stylus and Phono Box pre-amp, Project Debut with built in pre-amp and £60 upgraded stylus, or the Project Expression with Phono Box pre-amp

In the dim and distant past I had a Rega Planar deck which was pretty good for the price. This one on ebay currently under £100
