You spend far more time tweaking knobs than you spend playing

You use a fuzz pedal, AND an overdrive pedal AND a distortion pedal, in addition to your 3 amp channels, and you wonder if you need a booster as well...

I've also found that guitar players that are so far up their own arses that they become incomprehensible to anyone except other guitarists fit these criteria.

I'm saying nothing considering my live board consists of

Roland GR33 guitar synth
2 boss RC20 looping pedals
Volume Pedal
Boss V Wah
Boss SE50 (controlled via midi from the GR33)
Often using an ebow to make even more weird noises

Home setup includes various pedals but mostly Roland GP16, Roland RSP550 (lush chorused surround effects) direct to analogue desk, then PC with lots of FX plugins

But I'm just as happy playing an acoustic, so I'm not completely adicted.... yet!!

nah, wahs are hard to use seated, balancing on two crybabys is amusing though

I had an epiphany while playing a gig on thursday night, where I realised that the amount of pedals I use obstructs my playing.

I have JRC4558s in my maxon od808 and reverend drivetrain. I can't say they sound any better than my friends TS-9 RI.

Collecting pedals: it's like collecting stickers only more pointless and financially ruinous.

In my experience, a pedal has never improved my tone.

Especially not a Big Muff..

I envy you, I sincerely do.

I stripped my pedal board back from 12 to 4 pedals last night.

I'll get there eventually.
