Default Guitar Advice

What's the best bit of advice you've ever been given, regarding playing guitar (I am trying to learn myself acoustic geetar)?

With lots of things you find something out that helps majorly with it.

I need majorly helping.

Well, not that major really, but advice is nearly always good.

find your favourite chord, then detune the guitar so you can play it with one finger.

The " learn the scales" and "lots of practice" advice was the best I was given.

Unfortunately I did neither, and am a four-chord strummer at best

Don't try sound like yr favourite guitarist... be original.Try find a good sound/riff that no one has done before. Technique doesn't matter, a geat song can be 3 chords.

Do finger exercises that make one of your fingers look like it is having a fit
