I don't think its relevant. If the guy has made a record before his passing away releasing that work is the right thing to do by his family and for his fans.

I think you'd have to be a bit mental to call it a money-grabbing 'opportunity'.

would there have been talks of boyzone getting back together if gately hadn't of died so sudden, I don't think so.

I feel maybe the labels who offered boyzone to release this materal after his death is tapping into their emotions of their loss and exploiting it to make lots of money. The records will sell like hot cakes, as it's exploiting their fans. They will feel compelled to buy it as an act of compassion towards the loss of gately.

I think it's a bit too soon to be honest, obviously boyzone crippled when they got a reasonable offer, that is if they wern't still signed to a label which may have pushed the idea on them (again tapping into their emotions of their loss)

Were they active though? I hadn't heard a thing about them in years until Gately died, i seriously thought JLS was the last ever boyband.
