I posted before that the beatles are shite.

I would like to retract that after buying a few of the reissues ( a john lennon biography aroused my curiosity about revisiting the beatles) i now think that they wrote some great tunes but due to the absence of their singles on the albums, i find some of the albums are patchy.
Paperback writer or Rain in place of yellow submarine would make revolver almost peerless.
Mccartney was off the boil on abbey rd with exception of oh darlin and carry the weight.
However, the volume of great songs written in a 9 yr period is astonishing and the reissues are worth a punt if you never owned the albums before.
