Bit of a surprise....although he looked mentally fragile when he played the Lemon Tree not too long ago, he still looked fit for his age.

I once passed up the chance of a gig because Davy was going to be in the audience, and I would've been embarrassed at my lack of competency on the guitar. I've got a pile of original vinyl by him.....some brilliant, some 'acquired' listening.

I wish I had taken the opportunity to see him play when he was in Glasgow last year.
He's been one of my favorite musicians since i first heard him`and on my list of musicians i must see.

I don't know how he managed to avoid ever getting the BBC folk lifetime achievement award.
His legacy will continue.
