"Underground" music

I'm into no underground music really.

Apart from bands my friends are in, but I don't think that counts.

I don't really understand what you mean by underground band/scene??

If you mean any band that isn't signed to a major label, then in answer to if anyone has one of these bands in their top bands list... then. Yes. Quite a lot.

I don't really have much "underground" stuff, well maybe if your average Radio 1 listener who's never heard of The Clash for example, looked through my iPod most of it would look like a different language, but to anyone who knows anything about music most of the stuff on my iPod would be very familiar, except for a couple of little gems I've picked up a long the way.

But yeh, one of my pet grumbles is people rabbiting on about bands nobody's ever heard of NOT because they think they are excellent and they want to educate / share the knowledge, but because they want to show their underground music knowledge credentials by seeking out really obscure bands to try and sound cool.
