Aren't you being 'precious' too though, by boycotting Mogwai because they won't play Aberdeen? I've got mates who will never go to a pub or club because of negative experiences they've had there, but that won't stop me being their mate. Similar, no?
It just feels like they're making all Aberdonians suffer because of a few slightly inconsiderate people. That's just ridiculously petty in my opinion. Why shouldn't i feel the same about them? Are you seriously telling me that they wouldn't sell out a gig in Aberdeen, or at the very least have a well attended gig?

If they come back, i'll go see them. Until then i won't.

It won't stop me listening to the CDs i already have, but i also won't be buying any of their new material until they wise the fuck up.

I hope their drummer gets better though That is shit.

As long as you make the walls tremble and the ground move in a similar fashion

I take it you'll be at Desalvo on friday Jim? I dare you to speak over them, as I seem to remember both of us trying to remain invisible in the relatively safe area of the bar last time

Depends on how special the nights it is an how we finish it off

Sadly I will be away this weekend (a weekend with the inlaws ) and will miss Desalvo, otherwise I would have gladly joined you up the back and well out of to way of our apron clad entertainer!

The new album has loads of good stuff going on, more mellow in general but I like it.

They've 'had their day'? Pish min.

I don't think that they're getting worse or anything but I'm not sure that they're as relevant as they once were. There are some really great moments on the album but, largely, it's what was expected. Which is a shame by and large. I just kinda get the feeling that they're never going to release another album that really grabs my attention in the way that others have. They're always going to be a good band but I'm not sure whether they're going to scale the heights that they used to. Having said that, 'I Love You, I'm Going To Blow Up Your School' is great.
