Default Jazz Town
Went to a jazz gig tonight in the city where I live in Japan, as part of a jazz festival which is taking place this weekend, and I happened to stumble across an awesome artist.

I've never been a huge fan of jazz but this guy was awesome. Very funky sort of jazz rather than wanky loungey jazz.

If anyone is interested, his name is Sugimoto Atsuhiko and you can check him out at www.sugimoto-a.com

victor wooten and jaco pastorius also do some funky jazz things, you could check them out if you enjoyed it.

see now you've taken it too far, hehe, I don't really "get" terms of genres and stuff....."jazz" "funk" "rock" "pop" etc is about as deep as I get...
