Default Sonic Youth - Rather Ripped
So, I heard the songs that they put on their myspace and thought they were quite pop, but it's not prepared me for the record. It's poptacular! (for Sonic Youth that is).

I don't know if it's gonna grow on me the same way Sonic Nurse did, but i least I can trust SY to 9 times out 10 make a good album...

I got the MP3s of it in April & i like it. A lot.

But I'm biased.

CD should arrive soon & I've got the vinyl ordered which is out in a week or two.

i really like the overall sound of the record, though sometimes i wish they'd put as much effort into their lyrics as they put into their music

I'm actually looking forward to the reissue of Daydream Nation with all the bonus material more than the new stuff, to be honest.

This album has been favourably compared to Murray Street, Sonic Nurse and Sister, is this the case as I like all these ones? (i'm not much of a Sonic Youth fanatic).
