Default Richard Ashcroft heads to T

Richard Ashcroft confirmed for T In The Park
Damian Marley also added to the line-up
Richard Ashcroft has been confirmed for this year's T In The Park festival.

The former Verve frontman is the latest addition to the Scottish event which takes place at Balado, near Kinross between July 8-9.

The singer will headline the Radio 1/NME Stage on the Sunday (July 9), while the King Tut's Tent will see a performance from Damian Marley on the Saturday (July 8).

The announcements come just days after tickets for 2006's event sold out completely in under one hour (February 17).

Other acts already confirmed for T In The Park include The Strokes, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Who, Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, Sigur Ros, The Ordinary Boys, Primal Scream and Felix Da Housecat.

If it's anything like his last gig, the place will flee during his solo stuff and return to sing along to the verve tunes

It's funny but why do they wait to announce the Oxygen line up when it's always the same as T In The Park?.. (waited a week?)
