Yep, so did Marillion who released it as an album called Remixamatosis ( http://www.marillion.com/music/racket/remixo.htm) , It even got them a no 21 on the dance chart, but only when they released it unnamed

Its a lot of fun to try these things, gives you a chance to work on really professional sounding recordings, everyone with an interest in mixing and producing music could do worse than trying this just to paly about. .

Nine Inch Nails have done this with a few of their tracks as well and spawned a whole NIN remix community in the process:

It's a really great idea and I hope more artists go for it.
