Default Arctic Bloody Monkeys
I've nothing against them really but I'm getting fed up of them being mentioned in connection with every bloody thing! For example in a (pretty good) review of The Beautiful New Born Children in this weeks NME the following is quoted "Recently signed to Arctic Monkeys' Domino label". This is a record label which has been well established for over 10 years. I'll be sick of them before I even listen to the CD!

Arctic Monkeys? Is this some popular new beat combo that the young 'uns are listening to?

I think I got fed up of them on the name alone - i've been seriously underwhelmed by anything they've done so far.

Good revue for TBNBC?

They're on the cover of NME again this week surprise surprise. I've only heard one of their songs - and I don't plan on hearing any more!

Well they are just the lastest thing for 'the powers that be' to hype up for the purposes of brainwashing the sub-intelligent into parting with their cash. Seems to be the modern way of things.

The hype is quite annoying although I really like them, and have done for a while now. The hype also makes some people automatically dismiss them which is even more annoying.

I missed the "pretty good" bit - skim reading has a lot to answer for.

What's this "CD" you talk of? Some of us bought it on vinyl!
