Surely the secret is to release a catchy Christmas tune that's regurgitated every year. Then sit back and watch the cash roll in.

If you`d been at the foyer's FREE workshops you would now know ALL about advances and the record industry.

Yet again aberdeen bands avoid something that is 100% free and regret it later.

I think you'll find bands like Opeth who get fuck all money for royalties and radio/tv play rely quite a bit on merchandise sales.

You need to work for that shit? Fuck, I thought it all materialised out of thin air. If I got to work for it, I don't want it. Sorry guys, I quit.

Yeah, but this much is common knowledge.

And if playing in a band is a vocation rather than an occupation then I don't give a shit. If I can play music in a kick ass band and still feed myself I'm happy. Actually, forget the food. Gimme beer.

Well man, as both you and I have discussed in great length on a par to previous members leaving the band -

Maybe not this simple but here we go -

1. Band get noticed
2. Band get signed
3. Band get pro recording that costs alot of money
4. Band get loadsa gigs at Drakes sized venues round Britain and the likes to a crowd of 3 etc.
5. Spend lots of time in a B reg transit with holes in the floorpan where the cabinets keep trying to escape through! Dont see loved ones for months
6. Fail to make any impact on the harsh crowds that we know so well, and yer up shite creek!!
7. No job, no fame, owe record company alot of money!
8. Spend the rest of your life paying back the record company by working somewhere shite for £1.99 per hour minus lunchbreak!
