Default Websites for Bands

Hi folks

Was wondering if anyone can suggest any good hosting companies who are prepared to host audio files on the site? My host has just informed me that they do not allow audio or video files to be hosted as they take up too much bandwidth. Have any of the bands out there got a good deal where they can have their songs on their site for folk to download? Does Aberdeen-music.com provide free/economical hosting?

Cheers

I don't intend to start hosting MP3s on aberdeen-music anytime soon due to potential legal issues. However, if you are after web hosting for your own band(s) then I offer web hosting services seperately from aberdeen-music and I don't have a problem with audio/video files being hosted as long as you own the copyright for them. You can get information on these services over at: http://www.existentia.net

Thanks, so your package 1 at £96/year would be ok to host mp3s? Is that all inclusive price?

Yep, as long as you own the copyright to the MP3s and you don't exceed the monthly bandwidth limit (if you do, then we can look at upgrading to the next package). The web hosting has to be paid monthly I'm afraid but you can cancel at any time.
